Jon is Sassoon London educated, managed one of the UK’s leading salon groups in Kensington and headed up a regional salon groups education strategy, McIntyres hope to extend their education as well as provide a top precision cutting and colour expert to their portfolio and artistic team. Jon is delighted to be coming to a City on the up and was attracted to McIntyre’s through their creativity. Jon says he is excited at coming to Scotland and is looking to develop a clientele where he can showcase his talents.

Selected from over 100 applicants, with 28 invited to present a model at an audition day in Leeds, with just 17 awarded places in 2012’s debut Style Squad.

Wella And UNICEF have selected two UK stylists to travel to Brazil to mentor young people as part of their ‘Making Waves’ programme.

Tom Wright of Chester and Aberdeen’s Philip Bell will go to Rio De Janiero to help train and inspire disadvantaged young people and give them hope and skills for their future.

The programme aims to help 7500 young people with new life skills as well as access to three centres to learn hairdressing skills with the hope to give them a brighter future.
