A Day in Dundee with me ! 

Born and bred in Dundee, I’ve always had a deep connection to this incredible small city. In my early 20s, I moved to Glasgow, thinking the buzz of a larger city would suit me more , but it didn’t take long for me to realize that Dundee was where I truly belonged. I love exploring Dundee’s hidden gems, from unique local spots to its rich history, and I’m always inspired by the abundance of green spaces and breathtaking scenery, especially the views over the water. Dundee is a friendly city with a warm, welcoming vibe that makes it the perfect place to live, work, and enjoy.

Dundee is full of hidden gems, and I recently spent a perfect day exploring some of my favourite spots in the city. If you’re looking for inspiration for a day out, here’s my go-to guide for a mix of relaxation, indulgence, and style.

Morning: Start with a Little Self-Care

My day began at the Apex Spa, where I had my first visit to their amazing gym and pool. It was such a great way to kickstart the morning, combining fitness and relaxation in a gorgeous setting.

Coffee Stop: New York Vibes in Dundee

Next, I made my way to Empire State Coffee Cafe. This is my absolute favourite place for coffee they make the perfect cup! I couldn’t resist one of their famous New York-style bagels; it’s the ideal mid-morning treat.

Mid-Morning: Time for a Glow-Up

For a little TLC, I visited Medispa for a glow-up facial. It’s such a treat to take time out for yourself, and my skin felt amazing afterwards totally refreshed and ready for the rest of the day.

Hair Love: The mcIntyres Experience

Of course, no day in Dundee would be complete without a visit to McIntyres. I had one of our signature hair treatments, complete with a head massage that felt so luxurious. I finished with a blow dry, leaving my hair looking and feeling its absolute best.

Lunch: Bold Flavours at Black Mamba

For lunch, I headed to Black Mamba, one of Dundee’s most unique spots. Their menu is full of bold flavours and creative dishes , it’s always a go-to for something a little different and a lot delicious!

Evening: Cocktails at the DCA

To end the day on a high, I popped across the street to the Dundee Contemporary Arts (DCA) for a cocktail. Their drinks are always spot on, and it’s the perfect way to unwind and reflect on a fabulous day in the city.
