Kay Mcintyre of McIntyres Salons has made it to the final six for the title of Scottish Hairdresser of the Year 2012.
Part of Hairdressers Journal’s 2012 British Hairdressing Awards, launched in 1984 by Hairdressers Journal International, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional and considered the Oscars of the hairdressing world, Kay successfully reached this final stage after submitting four images to a set criteria. She must now submit a further four images to be judged by industry experts, members of the British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame, some of the UK’s leading hairdressers and hair journalists from the most influential and fashion aware consumer magazines.
Talking about her progress to the final round, Kay said, “I was delighted when I received my letter telling me I had made it to the finals. This year has been an incredible one for the salon. To be recognised by your peers as being one of the country’s leading hairdressers and being involved in the British Hairdressing Awards is both a wonderful feeling and a great achievement.”
The winner of the Scottish Hairdresser of the Year 2012 title will be announced at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Monday 26th November 2012.
Well done Kay and good luck!
