McIntyres Salons’ own Kay McIntyre is one of the previous winners of a British Hairdressing Award interviewed by Hairdressers Journal ahead of this year’s event.
Kay is the current Scottish Hairdresser Of The Year as well as winning the title in 2001/2 and 2010/11. This third win also meant she was inducted to the British Hairdressing Awards Hall Of Fame alongside the likes of Trevor Sorbie, Earl Douglas and Nicky Clarke.
Talking about her win and what it means to her, Kay said “To be recognised as a style leader has been a wonderfully re-affirming experience. Bringing the title and prestige back to the salon has energised and invigorated everyone, and with it a lesson that everything is possible when you dedicate yourself to your craft.”
The winners of this year’s British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, will be announced 25th November.
