Mum and the Princess by Keans Childrens fund Dundee

Pamela Conway from Stobswell, Dundee is mum to Georgia Conway (aged 4 and a half) who has been long suffering from Leukemia since she was only 2 years old and has been in and out of Dundee’s Ninewells hospital, both had a fairytale day out organised by local fund raiser Charlie Kean who’s amazing Childrens Charity surprised them both with a fantastic day out to remember. Georgia was to become a real Princess ! Pamela and Georgia were picked up by taxi taken to McIntyres Hairdressing salon in Union Street , Dundee where they enjoyed getting their hair done, during the visit Georgia and Mum were given some lovely gifts including , jewelery (Necklaces) from Henderson’s. A Disney Princess Aurora dress, slippers and tiara in a silk pillow was presented by real Prince Bauben from Dundee United transformed Georgia into a proper and beautiful Princess, Princess Georgia and her mum were then interviewed by STV and photographed by The Dundee Courier ,both Pamela and Princess Georgia visited The Green Room for even more pampering. A limousine arrived complete with Police escort to whisk them both off to City Chambers to meet Dundee’s Lord Provost, John Letchford who presented mum with flowers. No Princess day could be complete without a castle and a party both Princess Georgia and Mum Pamela were taken unsuspectingly to The Landmark Hotel and met by manager and staff and greeted to a surprise party with all the family and friends in attendance Pamela told the Courier “It was a shock but lovely coming in and seeing everyone in my family including the dog was the best part for me” I know that everyone involved at McIntyres and all the businesses and people involved had lots of fun and we’d like to wish the Conway family well and say a big thank you to Charlie and The Kean’s Childrens Fund for organising such a fabulous day out for them The Keans Children Fund has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds and every penny goes toward improving facilities and has helped hundreds of kids in Dundee.
