Kay currently holds the title and is looking to retain it having won this accolade twice before,this is Kay’s fifth nomination. I’m delighted and its great to be nominated again and you just hope the collection is what judges and editors are looking for, it would be nice to hold on to the title for another year. I love the challenge set by the British Hairdressing Awards the competition tests your creativity to produce winning collections.

A Charity Dance Auction with Locarno style music band ‘The Boston Tea Party’ organised by Starbucks, St Andrews , Jude Magazine and Vintage brand Rara was held on Saturday May 20th at the Bonar Hall in Dundee in aid of Armistead Child Development Centre. Artist and impressario Jack Vittriano kindly danated his own personal studio proof print which was auctioned on the night and helped raise a total of more than £6000.

Mr Kengo Kuma the architect and designer of the new V&A Museum scheduled for 2015 claims in his visit to Dundee University that the building can change the image of the City of Dundee and claims it can be delivered on time and on budget. Mr Kuma is a Professor from Japan’s Graduate School of Architecture at the University of Tokyo.
