Pamela Conway from Stobswell, Dundee is mum to Georgia Conway (aged 4 and a half) who has been long suffering from Leukemia since she was only 2 years old and has been in and out of Dundee’s Ninewells hospital, both had a fairytale day out organised by local fund raiser Charlie Kean who’s amazing Childrens Charity surprised them both with a fantastic day out to remember. Georgia was to become a real Princess !

Styists Sammy Galloway (Union Street Salon) and Lynn Hunter (Perth Road Salon) had to present their interpretations of their chosen category ‘Midnight Stage’ and ‘Techno Poetry’ to a distinguished judging panel together with a catwalk presentation to a passionate crowd of hairdressers from around Scotland.

Congratulations to Ally Deacon Style Director at McIntyres Dundee, Scotland on winning the National Hairdressing Federation’s Stylist of the Year 2010 prestigious hairdressing award. The competition receives entries from thousands of hair stylists from throughout the UK and consists of submitting a photographic image with hair cut and colour. Ally used local model Kirsty Miller pictured inset, Ally had to attend the award ceremony held in City Stadium in Cardiff. This is a significant achievement and the first time anyone from McIntyres has won this hairdressing award.

McIntyres Stylist Ally Deacon Union Street Salon Dundee has shortlisted for a prestigious National Hairdressing Award. This photographic competition organised by the National Hairdressing Federation is open to all stylists and salons in the UK. Ally’s image of local model Kirsty Miller has reached the final six. Ally is to attend the award ceremony held this year at the City Stadium in Cardiff on May 12th. Its a significant achievement to reach this stage out of the thousands of entries from all over the UK.

Six of McIntyres staff from Perth Road and Union Street salons have won through to the finals of the Wella Trend Vision Awards ‘Scotland’s Young Talent’ regional final – Sammy Galloway,Michael Howie,Cheryl Stewart,Lyn Hunter, Ally Deacon and Gemma Docherty Each had to present an interpretation of Wella’s current Trend Vision categories – Midnight Stage, Natures Goddess, Nomad Couture, Techno Poetry. The Regional finals are based in Glasgow where the finalist have to present their looks live and if successful they go on to a high profile showcase event at The Roundhouse in London’s Camden.
