McIntyres Stylist Ally Deacon Union Street Salon Dundee has shortlisted for a prestigious National Hairdressing Award. This photographic competition organised by the National Hairdressing Federation is open to all stylists and salons in the UK. Ally’s image of local model Kirsty Miller has reached the final six. Ally is to attend the award ceremony held this year at the City Stadium in Cardiff on May 12th. Its a significant achievement to reach this stage out of the thousands of entries from all over the UK.
Six of McIntyres staff from Perth Road and Union Street salons have won through to the finals of the Wella Trend Vision Awards ‘Scotland’s Young Talent’ regional final – Sammy Galloway,Michael Howie,Cheryl Stewart,Lyn Hunter, Ally Deacon and Gemma Docherty Each had to present an interpretation of Wella’s current Trend Vision categories – Midnight Stage, Natures Goddess, Nomad Couture, Techno Poetry. The Regional finals are based in Glasgow where the finalist have to present their looks live and if successful they go on to a high profile showcase event at The Roundhouse in London’s Camden.
