Wella has launch its Generation NOW 2013 competition offering rising stars of the hair world the chance to win a place on their 12 month mentoring programme.
McIntyres stylist Nikki Rice won a place in the 2012 team calling it “the best and most inspirational year of my life!” Talking about on her year on the Wella Generation NOW team she said , “I think my confidence has come on massively, in terms of technical skills but also presentation skills and trusting myself to know what looks good and to use my own ideas. We have been encouraged to grow as an artist in our own right and have been helped massively along the way by our mentors and the other team members. Being able to bring the skills I’ve learnt back to the salon team members has been great too. I’ve got more knowledge of the industry and a platform to really bounce off now my time in the team is nearly over.”
And does she have any advice for the Wella Generation NOW 2013 applicatns?
“Go for it!!! The experience for me has been amazing!! I have learnt so much about the industry and my confidence has come on so much! On top of that you meet some amazing people which now have become great friends. I’m really sad to see our time in Generation NOW coming to an end and I will be very jealous of the new teams exciting year ahead!”
